Political candidates and officeholders in Marietta, Cobb, Georgia and the entire country should take notice that things are changing from the courthouse to the White House.

People are fed up with politics as usual, a point repeatedly made by Cobb citizens upset by the high-handed actions of the school board — chairman John Abraham in particular. Ditto for the widespread Tea Parties and other protests across the U.S.A. over the high and mighty doings of Washington Democrats who flat out ignore the majority of voters opposed to their health care bills and other bad legislation.

The result is a growing tide of anger over what President Obama and his Dem allies are doing: a whopping 71 percent of voters in a Rasmussen poll released Monday said they were at least “somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government.” That is a jump of 5 percentage points since September.

Even more telling, 46 percent of the voters said they were “very angry.” And that is up a “stunning” 10 percentage points from September. Only 27 percent are not angry to some extent about the federal government’s policies — less than one-third.

This is why there’s a well-deserved effort underway to recall Cobb school board member John Crooks, a politician who promised one way and voted another. It’s why people across America are getting angrier by the day. A growing number are fed up and they’re not going to take it any more.

What is also apparent is that people are tired of agenda driven journalism, which the MDJ is doing with the school board and with Dr. Crooks in particular.

Basically, the compliant against Dr.Crooks boils down to three things: 1) Violation of the Open Meetings Law, which he acted upon with the advice of counsel and promoting the contruction of a cell phone tower at East Valley Elementary School. 2)Wanting to be refered to as "Dr" instead of "The Reverand Dr". His doctorate is earned from a SACS accredited seminary. Around Town's comments on it has boarded on the bizzare because the only thing Crooks is violating is journalistic protocal 3) He yelled at Jon Gillooly.

For those three things, the MDJ is assisting the political opposition without asking the most important question: In a election year, why have someone recalled in the same year you can vote him out? That does not make any sense when there is no real legal issue involved. Basically, Dr. Crooks opponents are asking the county the pay for a recall because they do not agree with his opinions. Here's an idea: instead of going around collecting signatures, how about trying to raise money and find a candiate to run against Dr. Crooks?

Lastly, Mr. Mckee is piggy-backing on a blog Laura Armstrong wrote last month. Both posts compare the "fed up" public nationally with the recall of Dr.Crooks. Crooks supposedly promised one way and voted another, but when he voted against the balanced calander, the MDJ accused him of doing it to "seeking cover". Well, which is it?
