Infosys, an information technology company with an office in the Wildwood office park, plans to add about 200 new jobs there in the next fiscal year.

“We expect additional expansion in the metro Atlanta area over the following years as well,” said Sandeep Dadlani of Kennesaw, an Infosys vice president.

Dadlani said the company’s Wildwood office of about 28,000 square feet has between 60 to 100 employees at any given time.

In 2009 the firm also purchased McCamish Systems and keeps that company operating in an office on Powers Ferry Road with about 250 employees.

Infosys is headquartered in Bangalore, India.

Dadlani cited the cost of living, weather, educated workforce and airport as reasons to remain and expand in Cobb County.

“It’s an ecosystem that is very tough to beat. That’s why we’re here in Cobb County and the greater Atlanta region,” he said.

A report by the Atlanta Business Chronicle claims Infosys is expanding over the coming years by 500 jobs, but Dadlani said his company isn’t projecting that far out.

County Chairman Tim Lee called it a win for both the county and the company.

“They see a huge potential in the United States for IT processing and technology improvements for American companies, so their company sees the United States as a tremendous opportunity for them over the next few years in terms of having opportunities to make improvements for customers,” Lee said.

Dadlani directed interested applicants to the Infosys website. He said he was also partnering with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce to create additional avenues for people to apply.
