Former Atlanta Braves pitching coach and major league baseball guru Leo Mazzone has joined 6-4-3 DP?Athletics for a new venture.

Mazzone will be teaching at Aviation Sports Complex in Marietta to provide private pitching lessons to young, talented ballplayers age 13 and up.

Mazzone was a well-known part of the Atlanta Braves coaching staff from 1990 to 2005. His pitching expertise proved to be a key factor in the Braves winning 14 straight division titles. Along with the titles, arguably one of the best pitching staffs of all time was developed and assembled during his tenure. The combination of Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and Greg Maddux proved to be lethal throughout his Atlanta Braves coaching career. Besides those notable all-stars, many pitchers saw stellar years under the guidance of Mazzone.

Mazzone is also involved with the Braves Radio Network during pregame shows or contributing to "The Rude Awakening" radio show on 680 The Fan.
