The Cobb County Police Department will begin hosting its spring session of the Citizens Public Safety Academy, a free, 14-week program held twice a year, March 26 at the Cobb County Public Safety Training Center on Valor Drive in Marietta. The program is every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at various locations, gives Cobb citizens an inside look at multiple units in the county’s public safety department, including the Emergency Communications Center, fire and police and the role each plays.
Applicants must be 21 or older and a resident of Cobb or work for Cobb County Government. The class is limited to 25 prescreened applicants and if not accepted into the session, they will be placed on a future waiting list.
