* The city of Marietta, Southern Polytechnic State University and Life University will have a public information meeting Dec. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Life University’s Center for Chiropractic Education building, 1269 Barclay Circle. The topic will be a study to redevelop Cobb Parkway and S. Marietta Parkway with the goal of connecting the schools to the community. Agenda items include initial findings, land use, transportation and market trends. The meeting is one of four planned to help gather feedback from the public.
* The Cobb County Board of Education will have a facilities and technology committee meeting Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. and a regular meeting Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., both at 514 Glover St. in Marietta.
* The Marietta City Schools Board of Education will meet Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. and a review with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, or SACS, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m., both at 250 Howard St.
