MARIETTA — Champ’s Tire & Service opened recently at the corner of Barrett Parkway and Highway 41, near the Barrett Crossings Shopping Center.

Champ’s is a full-service automotive repair service station, serving all makes and models.

“Whether you need a new set of tires or a new transmission, they are dedicated to the complete satisfaction of their customers,” said Brian Clyne, a spokesman for the company.

The site is at 1196 Barrett Parkway, a former Goodyear Tire building with eight bays, four in the front and four in the back.

Patrick Fiffie, franchise manager and part owner, said he selected this property because thousands of potential customers pass by it daily.

“The road is less congested now that the construction is completed,” he said, referring to the recently completed widening of Barrett Parkway.

He said he is planning to hire 10 to 12 automotive service technicians.

Champ’s is offering $17.99 oil changes as a grand opening promotion.

The business opened last Monday.

The deal was brokered by Automotive Business Group LLC, doing business as AutoBizBrokers.

AutoBizBrokers is a business brokerage and commercial real estate company dedicated exclusively to the automotive industry.

“We believe that Champ’s will be a valued asset to the local area, and that the community will benefit from the excellent services which Champ’s provides,” said Scott Krause, president of AutoBizBrokers.
