On Feb. 8, celebrate education when the Cobb Schools Foundation hosts its 2nd Annual Leaders & Legends Ball presented by Promethean at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center. Proceeds benefit the Cobb Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the schools, staff and students of Cobb County School District.

The black-tie celebration includes dinner, dancing, entertainment and a silent auction. Outstanding alumni and community leaders who have made an impact on Cobb County School District will be honored.

“The Cobb Schools Foundation works to support the schools, staff and students of Cobb County School District by providing grants to teachers to fund creative and innovative ideas in education, scholarships to graduating seniors, After School Program support for kids in need of educational enrichment, Project 2400 SAT Test prep for high school juniors and more programs and projects that benefit our kids,” said Sheri Brante, executive director of Cobb Schools Foundation.

The foundation provides additional funding for programs that would otherwise go unfunded.

“We work to provide additional resources and partnerships for our schools, teachers and students,” said Brante of Kennesaw.

Kermit Keenum, past superintendent for Cobb County School District, is the honorary chairman for the ball. This year’s honorees include Betty Gray, Judge Mary Staley-Clark, Sen. Johnny Isakson, Earl Smith, State Sen. Lindsey Tippins, the Brumby family and the Kell family.

“The Leaders & Legends Ball is a wonderful event to celebrate outstanding Cobb County School District alumni, as well as, individuals in the community who have made an impact on education in our schools,” Brante said.

Sponsorships are available. Call (770) 426-3390 for more information or visit www.cobbschoolsfoundation.org.
