September 21, 1914 - July 6, 2013 Gertrude M. Cook of Smyrna, Ga. passed on to Heaven on July 6, 2013. She was born in Toccoa, Ga. the daughter of William Hunter Moore and Mary Elizabeth Terrell Moore. Mrs. Cook lived the majority of her life in Smyrna, Georgia. She was an active member of Sharon Baptist Church, involved with the church choir and Sunday school classes. She retired from Southern Tea in Marietta. Her love for God and family was the focus of her life. She loved to travel and visited routinely with her son and his family in Texas and family in Toccoa, Ga. She is survived by her son Harmon (Woody) Cook and wife Susan, and her daughter Cynthia Cook Robinson. Step-daughter Arlene Cook Jackson and husband Mike. Grandchildren Angela D. Robinson, Anthony (Tony) Robinson and wife Jenny, Renee Cook Francis and husband Scott, Dean Cook, Stephanie Cook Winfrey and husband James, Tisha Brotherton, Maria Nash, and Amy Climie. Great grandchildren Vivian & Jack Francis. She survived her brothers, Otis Moore, JC Moore, Don Moore and sisters, Ila Moore Todd, Ollie Moore Smith, Marie Moore Ward, and Jeanette Moore Childs. A Memorial Service was held in her honor on Monday, July 8th at Mt. Paran Church of God, Atlanta. Officiated by Dr. Kent Hawkins.
