Mary Virginia Asbell Cail, a long-time resident of Marietta, died on August 8, 2013 at the age of 92. Among those who loved her best she was known as “Ginia”. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland M Cail, Jr. Mary was born in Macon on August 24, 1920 and raised in Savannah where she graduated from Savannah High School. She was very active in the community. She had operated an antique shop, worked in real estate and worked as a volunteer in several community organizations. The thing she enjoyed most and continued for many years was working as a bailiff in the superior court. She especially enjoyed traveling, playing golf and gardening. Mary is survived by her Daughter, Sharon Anne Cail Stoddard, of Atlanta, her son Randall Cleveland Cail, of Decatur, and her Sister Martha Edwina (Betty) Asbell Rodie, of Cleveland Tennessee; by grandsons David Stoddard and Matthew Cail; by granddaughters Rachel, Sara, and Mary Cail and by five great grandchildren. She also leaves two nephews and many friends. Family members and very close friends celebrated Mary’s life with a birthday party in her honor on August 24th.
