Bring diapers and ride for a worthy cause; eat up!

Roswell Street Baptist Church F.A.I.T.H. Riders’ 2nd Annual Diaper Ride is Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. The police-escorted ride will start at the church, located at 774 Roswell St. in Marietta and end at Rocco’s in Jasper.

Registration is from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Kickstands will go up at 10:30 a.m. The fee to ride is one pack of diapers for each rider and one pack of diaper wipes for each passenger. Cash donations will also be accepted and appreciated.

The ride benefits The Women’s Pregnancy Center, a ministry of Roswell Street Baptist Church that offers assistance in a Christian environment to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. For more information contact Mike Loving at (678) 548-2326 or


Today at 10:30 a.m., you can help out 24-year-old UGA graduate Amanda Hammons of Cobb County who has organized a soccer game to help her raise funds for her mission trip to Macedonia in October.

Come out and support the effort and play at Noonday Park at 489 Hawkins Store Road in Kennesaw. If you are not interested in playing, donations are appreciated, especially soccer cleats that will be donated to an orphanage in Macedonia.
