Mrs. Rosemarie Fletcher Bonesteel, 85, a longtime resident of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully March 26, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Mark Barbour officiating. Interment will be 2:00 pm Monday at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Mrs. Bonesteel was born in Troy, NY on November 9, 1927. She was a bookkeeper before marrying the late George R. “Sonny” Bonesteel. During their 52 years of marriage, they relocated to Georgia and raised their family here. She was an avid miniature dollhouse builder, recreating exact replicas from shingled roofs and lighted fixtures down to the embroidered seat covers and wall-hangings. She was also an expert seamstress. Many lives were touched in her 85 years and she will be missed dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Schwein; sons, Geoff Bonesteel and wife, Jeanie McCleary; Chris Bonesteel and wife, DeeDee; her grandchildren, Rob Bridges and wife, Christina, Joe Garner, Jessica Martin and husband, Rich, Michael Bonesteel, Ann Bonesteel, Heather Akins and husband, Jarrod, Erin McSoley, McKenzie McSoley, Tom Schwein; and her great-grandchildren Avery Martin, Kate Martin, and Custis Awtrey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the U.S.O. or the U.S. Marine Corps Toys-for-Tots program. Family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday prior to the service.
