L. Mary Biediger entered into rest on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Tranquility Wellstar Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Biediger, and by her parents, Joseph H. Flieg and Ida K. Flieg. A native Missourian, she was born in Crystal City, Missouri on September 1, 1927. She attended Miss Hickey’s Business School and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She and her husband, Bill, were retired restaurateurs. She enjoyed collecting various antiques and was an avid reader. She will be sadly missed by family, friends, and neighbors. Survivors include her loving sister, Joan Politte (and Don) of Acworth; two nieces, Christy (and Jim) Shell of Kennesaw and Cyndi (and Steve) Woodruff of Acworth; four great nephews, Sean Fennelly (and Corinne), Joey Shell, Blaine Woodruff, and Grayson Woodruff and one great niece, Julie Shell. If you would like to remember Mary, please consider St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 87 Lacy Street, Marietta or the American Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta is in charge of the arrangements.
