Jerry Michael Benefield, 68 of Marietta passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 18, 2013 at Shiloh Hills Baptist Church in Marietta with Dr. Victor Bledsoe and Rev. Mark Shelton officiating. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Mr. Benefield was a member of Shiloh Hills Baptist Church and a master plumber for over 30 years. Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Benefield of Marietta; two sons, Scott Benefield, Shannon Benefield and wife Emily, all of Marietta; three sisters; one brother; one granddaughter, Jasmine Benefield; many nieces and nephews. Also, special friends who were like family, Scott and Tracey Edwards and their two sons, Jordan and Kelly. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Shiloh Hills Christian School in Marietta, 260 Hawkins Store Rd. Kennesaw, Ga. 30144; or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Family will receive friends from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Marietta Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory.
