Evelyn Louise Barto, resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013 at the age of 91. Mrs. Barto was born on February 9, 1921 in Detroit, Texas to Emmett and Lavada Finch. She was a telephone operator during World War II, an Army wife, and a long-time volunteer in the Nursery at Northside Hospital, where she loved to hold the babies. Mrs. Barto is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings; Inez, Clyde, Clifford and Kathleen. She is survived by Joseph C. Barto Jr., her five children, Suzanne with husband Frank Donino of Highlands, NC; Linda and husband Rick Harding of Gallatin, TN; Joseph III and wife Patricia of Poquoson, VA; Michael and wife Alice of Stafford, TX; and Mary and husband Mark Kenline of Kennesaw, GA. She has ten grandchildren; Tamera Wlimoth, Larry Dean Morrison, Joseph Barto IV, Thomas Barto and wife Vy, Kevin Barto, Daniel Barto, Christopher Barto, William Barto, Kathryn Kenline and fiancé, Tyler Edwards, and Annie Kenline. She has two great grandchildren; Travis and Taylor Wilmoth. The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the wonderful people at Ross Memorial Health Care Center in Kennesaw, GA. The family will receive guests at Mayes-Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA from 2-4 PM on Sunday, February 3, 2013. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Saint Catherine of Siena in Kennesaw, GA. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta is in charge of the arrangements.
