Saturday, June 16, 2012 marks 12 years since Dustin Inman was taken from his family. Dustin is forever 16.

Dustin was a 16-year-old American boy killed by an illegal alien in a senseless traffic collision on Father's Day weekend in the year 2000. He was on his way to a weekend of fishing in the north Georgia mountains with his parents.

Dustin is one of the uncounted thousands of Americans who have needlessly lost their lives as a direct result of government in America refusing to secure American borders or enforce American immigration and employment laws.

Despite being in the United States illegally, the driver of the car that killed Dustin, Gonzalo Harrell-Gonzalez, was able to obtain a valid North Carolina driver's license using his Mexican birth certificate and a Mexican Matricula Consular ID card.

On June 16, 2000, a speeding vehicle driven by Harrell-Gonzalez hurdled into the rear of the Inman's car while it was stopped at a red light in Ellijay, Georgia. The accident killed Dustin and knocked out his parents Kathy and Billy Inman.

When she regained consciousness after five weeks in a coma, Kathy learned of the death of her son. She also learned that because of her injuries, she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair.

Due to their injuries in the wreck, Kathy and Billy were not able to attend their only son's funeral. Today, Kathy suffers still from multiple surgeries and agony as a result of the that horrible day.

The Inman's have only a few school photos, family snapshots and a video made at Dustin's funeral by which to remember their son.

Billy Inman will tell you that he blames the government sworn to protect his family and his nation for his son’s death more than he blames the illegal alien who killed him.

Billy Inman will tell you that Dustin was a "good kid" and that he misses his "hunting buddy" every day. "I loved Dustin," says Billy softly. He talks about Dustin having been born with a cleft palate and getting him the surgery to get his son "all fixed up."

He says that he will not rest until he brings his son’s killer to justice.

He will also tell you that he "paid no attention to politics" and had never voted before he lost his son to America’s intentionally unsecured borders.

"The system really let me down," Inman said. In his search for a better life, he now votes in every election.

America's unsecured borders and illegal immigration have changed their lives forever. It can happen to any one of us.

Charged and indicted in the death of Dustin Inman, Harrell-Gonzalez is a fugitive after escaping from local police when taken to a local hospital after the crash. His whereabouts are unknown.

Like all crime, illegal immigration has consequences.

The Dustin Inman Society offers a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Dustin Inman’s killer.

If you choose, contact Billy Inman through the Dustin Inman Society's contact form and we will forward your email.

Illegal immigration isn't as panderers like the current administration and it's predeccesor would have us believe. There are victims like Dustin Inman and the families left behind. Pandering to illegals will only lead to more heartache and loss of life. End the lunacy.

Strangely enough, after yesterday's edict, I had deceided not to vote this year. I've voted in every election since I was eligible. Then, in the above column, I saw where Mr. Inman said he's voted in every election since he lost his son. So, I can hardly do less. However, since Mr. Romney is dancing around the issue of children of illegal aliens profiting from the "Dream Act," it will be another vote for the "lesser of the evils." Do we have no one in Washington who will be courageous enough to say, "I will issue millions of work permits to all unemployed Americans and not make them compete further for jobs in their own country." Yesterday's proclaimation was a brilliant piece of political strategy and will win another term for Mr. Obama. His end run around the Republicans caught them with their "Dream Act" down. Neither party has the courage to stand up for their own people. We gave it a good run since 1776 though, didn't we? May God bless and keep the Inmans.

Billy & Kathy, you & Dustin will always be in our prayers. It is unfortunate that political dictate was decreed on this weekend.

As you & others know, illegal alien enablers are masters of fraudulent documents, so any "young person" (sounds so benign) who slithered across the border last night could be provided documentation to make it seem that the innocent (not!) parents brought him/her. The thieves are being rewarded for their lawlessness instead of taking what they've already stolen and heading back to grandparents back in Mexico or wherever.

Since Romney is hispandering now, for Rubio's plan, hope he can live without my vote. Not that King Obama will receive it. Both parties have betrayed American citizens.

Mr & Mrs Inman, I have been an advocate for immigration enforcement for more than 8 years. I have kept up with the wonderful work DA King has done on behalf of your son.

My heart goes out to you on this weekend and I know that until there is justice done for Dustin's unnecessary death, you will not find peace.

My prayer is that you will continue to find the strength to fight this battle and know that there are still many of us Georgians who are fighting it with you.

Mr. & Mrs. Inman - please understand that most Americans feel your pain and do not support Obama, Kevin Foley (whoever he is) or Jerry Gonzalez. I am so sorry for your loss.

Every day I pray for the souls of Dustin Inman and other innocents killed by illegal aliens as the result of dereliction of duty on the part of our government.

Every day I also send a mental note of thanks to people such as Dustin's parents and D.A. King for their relentless efforts to protect other Americans by restoring law and order in this country so others do not have to suffer the same heartbreak as the Inmans.

We are SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS! I can't imagine bringing a child into this world and having him senselessly killed. ONLY GOD could help you forgive and let all the pain GO. The bittereness would burn through you daily, otherwise. I pray the Lord will restore to you what the locust has eaten.....abundantly, above what you could even ask or think! My sincerest regrets to you!

Our hearts break for you for this senseless tragedy. The amnesty offered by the President today is unforgiveable. Congress can reverse that order if they have the backbones to do so. We pray that they do their jobs.

We must continue to remember your dear son Dustin. We will never forget your love for Dustin. If their were not illegal aliens, allowed to run rampage within our borders, we can only dream about having Dustin with us. The incompetence of of government is to blame, and we can only hope for better leadership in the future. God bless the Inmans.

To the Inman Family, Your loss is horrific. There are no words to express the pain you feel or the care and concern that people have for you.I wish that God and dustin's sweet spirit will give you some comfort..My heart goes out to you!

A legal immigrant ran a red light, hit and injured me and changed my life and my family's life forever...It seems our government is not concerned for the welfare of its citizens.

How sad it is that the tragedy of the Inman family continues to be compounded on a day to day basis with the deaths of other Americans at the hands of illegal aliens.

God Bless the Inman family and rest assured that there are still Americans who are resisting and will continue to resist the invasion of America.
