ACWORTH — An Acworth man won a $232,000 jackpot prize after purchasing a Fantasy 5 ticket that had five winning numbers.

Roy Pulliam, 71, is a Lockheed Martin industrial engineer and has four children and six grand-children with his wife, Dianne.

Pulliam discovered his win on the Georgia Lottery’s website and the winning numbers from the July 21 Fantasy 5 drawing were 3-6-11-14-23.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Pulliam said. “I jumped up and down, hollered and screamed.”

Pulliam made a checklist for projects he wants to complete.

The Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
