Frances Marie Allen, age 75, of Smyrna, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta. Born in Jacksonville, TX, Ms. Allen moved to Georgia in 1979. She retired from International Marine Underwriters where she was employed as an administrative assistant. Ms. Allen was preceded in death by a son, Chris Allen. Survivors include son, Clark (Abigail) Allen; brother, Tommy (Barbara) Gankse; grandchildren, Leanna Allen, Maxwell Allen, Robert Allen and Ronald Allen; great-granddaughter, Erika Allen; daughter-in-law Annie Allen, former daughter-in-law Julianne (John) Offerdahl and former spouse, James Allen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2pm until the service. Online guest book at
