Mr. Karl Turner, age 42, of Dallas, died Thursday, December 1, 2011. Funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Marietta with Reverend Steve Echols officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Turner was born in Marietta and was a supervisor with AGS Waterproofing. He was a lifetime member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he served as Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and AWANA Games Leader. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Lynn and Sam Sansom. Survivors include: Wife- Marsha Carter Turner of Dallas; Father- Ken Turner (Lana) of Smyrna; Son- Tristan Karl Turner of Dallas; Daughter- Courtney Lynn Turner of Dallas; Sisters- Kim Turner Daniel (Billy) of Dallas; Kelah S. McNeill (David) of Duluth; Brooke T. Apodaca (Sam) of Marietta; Brother-in-law- Mike Carter (Zana); Mother and Father-in-law Joan G. and Lois Carter of Oxford, AL; Many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. (770)424-4924.
