Engagement Form

The Marietta Daily Journal publishes engagement announcements in the Sunday newspaper as a public service. The Weekly deadline for announcements to appear in the following Sunday edition is Wednesday at 3 p.m. We cannot guarantee when an announcement will be published, and we cannot call to notify you of the date it will run. Engagements may be announced no more then three months before the wedding.		All announcements must be signed and must include a daytime telephone number in case any details need to be checked. The bride-elect, future groom or their parents must either live in Cobb County or have lived in Cobb County at some time for announcements to be published. Former residents please indicate where in Cobb County you lived.

A recent black-and-white or good-quality color gloss photograph of the couple may be submitted. Photographs may be brought to the newspaper office, mailed to: Marietta Daily Journal, 580 Fairground Street SE.,Marietta, GA 30060 or emailed to forms@mdjonline.com .		Please specify "Engagement Announcement" on the outside of the envelope and for emails specify you full name and date you submitted the "ENGAGEMENT FORM".

There is no way to view the announcement online after submitting. If there are any changes to the announcement or you think you have submitted in error please resubmit the announcement before Wednesday 3 p.m.

We reserve the right to edit announcements, to determine size and location of both picture and copy and to refuse photos of unacceptable quality and/or size. Acceptable sizes are wallet size and up to 8X10s. No profiles, Polaroid or long-distance shots will be accepted. Photos may be picked up at

the newspaper's front desk after publication or will be mailed if a self-addressed stamped envelope is provided. The return of photographs is not guaranteed. If parents are divorced or deceased, please indicate this clearly.
