COBB COUNTY - Cobb County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man and a woman from Jonesboro and charged them with 100 counts of identity fraud Thursday.
Tiffany Vanessa Miley, 28, and Robin Clayton Mars, 31, are being held in Clayton County Jail on various charges. Upon release from the Clayton County Jail, the suspects will be transported to Cobb County, said Nancy Bodiford, spokeswoman for Cobb County Sheriff's Office.
According to Bodiford, investigators received several leads that the pair were involved in a forgery and theft operation that involved more than 100 victims.
After obtaining a search warrant, Cobb deputies, with help from the Clayton County Police Department, found a large number of stolen driver's licenses, Social Security cards, passports, credit cards and checkbooks that belonged to people from throughout Georgia and other states, she said.
Deputies are working with local and state law enforcement agencies where the victims live as the investigation continues. Investigators will notify victims that their personal items have been located and secured, Bodiford said.
Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren said identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in Cobb County and the country.
"It is imperative that the citizens of Cobb County realize the importance of protecting all personal credit or identification information. Do not leave any unsecured items in your vehicle, locker or anywhere that could be easily or criminally accessed by others."

I hope these are the clowns who smashed my wife's car window and stole her purse at Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw. What a nightmare. The perp made 4 hits on our checking and savings account to the tune of $8000. Luckily, the bank reimbursed our accounts. Beware folks! As long as someone has your driver's license and another form of ID (credit card), they can withdraw money from your bank account without knowing the account number. It's called "Felony Lane". The perp drives up to the farthest teller lane in a multi-lane bank. Since they can't be seen by the teller, the teller cannot verify the face on the driver's license that is sent throught the tube. The perp asks the teller to withdraw XYZ amount from the account with enough funds to cover the withdrawal. Again, the perp does not need to know the account number. Even after we canceled our original accounts and established new ones, we were hit 3 more times. The bank hands out money like it's candy. It's totally shocking. Keep your driver's license, credit cards and checks with you at all times! Do not leave them in your purse under the seat. The "Felony Lane" types are targeting women's cars at parks, gyms, day cares, funerals, etc. They know that purses are typically left in the car when women are in these types of situations. Kudos to the Cobb County Sheriff's office!
Life in prison for creating havoc in the lives of innocent people!
