SMYRNA - Smyrna Police detectives believe a man they suspect was involved in the death of a Smyrna woman is in the Fayetteville, N.C., area.
Juan Lazaro, 28, is described a Hispanic male, 5-feet-4 tall and 170 pounds. Police say he has black hair, brown eyes and a mustache.
Smyrna Police spokesman Michael Smith said Lazaro is wanted for questioning as a person of interest in the death of Elizabeth Bowie.
Bowie, 28, was found dead at a residence on July 31. Police have not released the address of the residence.
An autopsy performed Friday by the Cobb Medical Examiner's Office revealed that the cause of death is considered "suspicious," pending further information from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said Smith.
Anyone with information regarding this case or Lazaro's whereabouts is encouraged to contact Det. Mitch Plumb of the Smyrna Police Criminal Investigative Division Police at (678) 631-5167 or (770) 434-6666.
